Scope & Safety

Our Scope & Boundaries

Get Through Hard Stuff is a non-clinical support and education community. We help members understand their circumstances, develop useful boundaries, and connect with peers. We do not provide psychotherapy, medical treatment, psychiatric care, trauma processing, or crisis intervention.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join if I am currently in therapy?

Yes. Being in therapy does not prevent you from joining. Many members work on specific clinical goals with a therapist while using our community for peer connection and practical life guidance.

Does having a mental health diagnosis automatically disqualify me?

No. A diagnosis alone does not disqualify you. Suitability depends on your current stability and whether the support you are seeking falls within our non-clinical scope.

Are live group sessions recorded?

Regular weekly member support calls are never recorded to preserve absolute privacy. For our monthly podcast sessions, the first public portion is recorded, and members can submit questions anonymously via chat. The final 20 minutes of those podcast calls are completely unrecorded.

Do I have to post personal stories or talk during live calls?

Never. Quiet participation is completely respected. You are welcome to attend calls with your camera off, listen in, read posts without commenting, or share only when you feel completely comfortable.
